Lighting the Camp Fire from a Camp Riverbend Canoe

Well.  We know a lot of you (and us) have been on well-deserved vacations.  We hope you are coming back refreshed and ready to tackle whatever else is on your summer To-Do list.  It has  been one week since we said farewell to our campers and counselors as they left Camp Riverbend.  Our last day of camp rang in clear and sunny, with nary a wind or storm cloud in sight; a truly beautiful summer day!

The emotions were all over the place on that last day.   Some campers spent their last afternoon with us, counting the time (when they graduate from high school!) they can come back as counselors; some counselors know they are doing internships next year and will not be with us.  Campers said good bye to friends, new and old, hoping to see them next year at Camp Riverbend once again.

We will have Family Camp Day again this autumn, so look for information that will be forthcoming.  Plus, more of the camp recipes, in blog form, will be on here soon.  We sent them in the email newsletter but pictures will accompany the blog posts.  We will also continue to update our Facebook page, Pinterest, and Instagram.  We like to keep up with you, as well, so ‘like’ us!

What were your camper’s favorite memories from the 2013 Camp Season?
