Camp Riverbend is the perfect day camp in New Jersey for Preschool to Kindergarten aged children (3-6) in Hudson, Morris, Essex, Middlesex, Union and Somerset counties. This past Saturday, March 23rd was Saturday Club at Riverbend. We opened our doors to children ages 3-6, and gave parents and kids the opportunity to get a taste of what Summer Camp is like!
The theme of the event was birds, and we had arts & crafts, games and even a cooking activity to go with the theme.
We made edible birds nests that we later filled with jelly bean “eggs.” The ingredients are rice crispies, coconut, brown sugar and karo syrup. Sticky but fun!
We also played some games with the plastic eggs and played baby bird tag.
Come join us at our next Saturday Club scheduled for April 6th from 9:30am – 11:00am. If you can’t make it on the 6th, come by for our Open House scheduled for Sunday April 7th from 10am – noon (ages 3-14 welcome)!
